Nxai Pan Safari
This safari adventure spans several of the most renowned wilderness areas in Botswana, including the wonder of Nxai Pan through the amazing Okavango Delta and Moremi Game Reserve. Beginning in Kasane and finishing up at the Victoria Falls in Livingstone, it offers unparalleled value for the price.

Day 1: Chobe Area, camping
The safari formally starts in Kasane, Botswana, at 1:00PM. Y-Africa Safaris is pleased to help with pre-tour planning such as arranging accommodation and transfers from Livingstone, Zambia or Kasane, Botswana, if needed. Once you arrive in Kasane your guide will provide a full rundown of your safari expedition, after which you’ll be taken shopping for drinks. Then you’ll enjoy first highlight of your adventure, a sunset riverboat tour on the Chobe. Camping will be at a Kasane campsite with permanent ablutions Facility. (L, D)
Day 2 - 3 Nxai Pan National Park, camping:
Starting at dawn, your next route is 500 kilometres south into Nxai Pan National Park where the sweet grasses harbours a many kinds of wildlife. You will stop midway to have a picnic lunch and will be treated to an afternoon game drive inside the park prior to arriving at your campsite. The following day you will traverse Nxai Pan as well as visit the plains which are regularly dotted with the likes of  impala and springbok gathered in herds as they graze. In the afternoon you will journey to the awesome Baines Baobabs. These majestic trees, immortalised in the paintings by explorer Thomas Baines, are found on the edge of a vast saltpan. Camping facilities are at a private designated campsite and bush ablutions. (B,L,D)
Kasane - Nxai Pan: 500km, 6hrs
Day 4: Maun, camping
After the fun of a morning game drive, you will travel from Nxai Pan, continuing your safari to the town of Maun, gateway to the Okavango Delta. After arriving, there will be plenty of time to check out the shops and take pleasure in a relaxing afternoon. You will later be camping  for the night at a location with permanent ablutions facilities. (B, L, D)
Nxai - Maun: 180km, 3-4hrs
Day 5 - 6: Okavango Delta, camping
Your adventure then carries you towards the north-west, from Maun to an extraordinary corner of paradise , the western reaches of the Okavango Delta,. Once you get to the border of the Delta, you will move your belongings to powerboats to journey through the narrow papyrus-walled waterways. There, along with enjoying the unparalleled opportunity for exotic bird watching, you’ll be able to take in the regions dazzling landscapes. Further inside the Delta you will meet up with the local polers in their mokoro (a traditional dugout canoe) and enjoy a restful cruise to a local island, after which you will have two days to spend traversing this gorgeous territory on mokoro tours and engage in guided waking tours through the islands and floodplains of the Okavango. You will be camping wild and bush ablutions. (B, L, D)
Maun - Okavango Delta: 320km, 4hrs
Day 7: Maun, camping
Stirred by the splendor of the Okavango, you will retrace your outward path back to Maun. You also can make the optional choice of a scenic flight over the Delta instead (The 1hr flight is EUR 125 per person. To Ensure the flight option, a requirement of a min. three reservations are needed). This inspirational experience can provide an even more stunning perspective of the Okavango Delta's unique system of water ways, and if you decide to take the flight, you will have the pleasure of a relaxing afternoon in the Delta campsite, perhaps taking the time to write postcards or to read a book while you wait for the airplane back to Maun. Your guide will head back to Maun with the vehicle to restock for the next stage of your safari. After being picked up the airport, you will have time to shop for drinks, then spend the night at a campsite on the outskirts of Maun that has permanent ablution facilities. (B, L, D)
Okavango Delta - Maun: 320km, 4hrs
Days 8-10: Moremi Game Reserve, camping
Traveling From Maun once more, you will be driven to the Moremi Game Reserve, one of the most renowned wilderness areas of Botswana, a region of both swamp and dry territory. For the following three days, you will bet to spend the time to experience the astonishing variety of wildlife and birds that this region is famous for while taking in the exotic sounds and magnificence of this part of the country. Here you can expect game drives starting at dawn and in the hours before sunset. After your morning game drive you will come back to camp for lunch and a siesta. Your camp will be in provided in a private designated campsite and bush ablutions. (B, L, D)
Day 8: Maun - Moremi Game Reserve: 150km, 6hrs (including game drive)
Days 11-13: Chobe National Park, camping
Your next objective will be Chobe National Park, known for it’s remarkable and varied terrain. While you watch for the region’s wildlife, the journey will take you across the drier region of Savuti where you will find bull elephants dotting the plains. You will then travel north to the banks of  the Chobe River where your game drives will guide you along the river’s edge, followed by the call of the regal African Fish Eagle. The Campsite where you will bed down will be in a private designated area and bush ablutions. (B, L, D)
Day 11: Moremi - Savuti: 120km. 5-6hrs
Day 12: Savuti - Chobe River: 170km, 5hrs
Days 14 - 15: A night in a comfortable lodge in Livingstone, chalet accommodation
After a game drive in the morning, you will journey across the  Zambezi River by ferry and then drive to Livingstone on the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls (You will require a Visa to make this trip). There, you will be provided a night at a comfortable lodge (dinner is available at your own expense). There will be plenty of time in the afternoon to both visit the roaring Victoria Falls as well as visit the souvenir shops. The safari formally concludes at 10:00AM on Day 15. Y-Africa Safaris is would also be pleased to help with any  post-tour arrangements, including accommodation, activities and transfers to Livingstone airport or lodges, Victoria Falls airport or lodges or Kasane, Botswana, for an additional fee. There are many things to do in Livingstone, including White Water Rafting down the Zambezi Gorge, Canoeing on the upper Zambezi, Elephant rides and Helicopter Flights over the Victoria Falls, feel free to ask your guide for additional details.

Day 14: Chobe River - Livingstone: 100km, 2-3hrs
Price includes:
All accommodation (spacious bow tents, mattresses included), rooms at a comfortable lodge in Livingstone, all transfers and activities as per your scheduled itinerary, all meals that have been listed (B - breakfast, L - lunch, D - dinner) as well as tea/coffee.  You will also receive the  services of a Professional Guide and Camp Assistant. The Botswana park fees providing allowance for you to take part in the activities listed above and transport in specialised safari expedition vehicles are also included in the price of the Safari.
Does not include:
Any Restaurant dining (Livingstone, Zambia), entrance fee to visit the Falls, visas, airport transfers, gratuities, souvenirs, optional trips or tours(the scenic Delta flight and  the trip to and tours/excursions in and around Livingstone/Victoria Falls,), beverages (alcohol, soft drinks and bottled mineral water), Insurance to cover cancellation and shortening of your Safari, medical, baggage, emergency evacuation, sleeping bag (with a small pillow) at all campsites.
