SITUATED :
Where Mashatu Main Camp is an oasis among the undulating and seemingly endless plains of the wild, just 15 minutes away is a refuge very different: The Mashatu Tent Camp - almost one with the environment. This is the leisure choice for the guest who seeks the ultimate one-on-one bush experience, or who prefers a more intimate environment with never more than 14 companions
ACCOMODATION AT MASHATU TENT CAMP :
8 completely private comfortable tents tucked under the branches of enormous trees, accessible via meandering pathways
- The tents are spacious and comfortable (enabling adults to stand upright)
- Each unit is mounted on a concrete platform, and
- has its own private outdoor en-suite facilities (W.C and shower)
FACILITIES:
- Open-air thatched gazebo for meal times, or in the
- Boma overlooking a floodlit and popular waterhole
- Plunge pool
ACTIVITIES :
The hide overlooking the waterhole: A sturdy and shaded structure that enables bush enthusiasts to sit quietly and to observe animal species going about their day as the animals are completely unaware that they are not alone.
CHILD POLICY : no children under 12 years of age
WILDLIFE :
Covering a diversity of landscapes ranging from riverine forests to floodplains and periodic marshlands, it is home to the largest concentration of elephants in Africa, hippo in abundance, buffalo, antelope and predators.
